Hi there Reader! Self care practices ebb and flow, wax and wane, shift with the time of year. The seasons have different joys and challenges. There are times when I feel myself being pulled into an unbalanced state (mid June to mid July is a classic stressful time for me) and I realize that the hot weather has stopped me from drinking my nourishing tonic herbal infusions (aka herbal tea), something that always keeps me feeling balanced and grounded. But here's the thing, a simple tweak is all you need to adjust your herbal tea practice for the warmer months of the year! Make your tea before you go to bed, let it steep overnight, and in the morning you have a deeply nourishing and supportive room temperature beverage that you can easily add ice to for even more refreshment. I've been absolutely LOVING iced House Blend, Sweetly Nourishing, and Tulsi Rose Milky Oats! Its seriously sooo delicious not to mention super hydrating with all those vitamins and minerals. I've been drinking it all day everyday and its definitely helping me navigate these hot summer days. Another great option is to mix with lemonade! HIGHLY RECOMMEND our Peppermint, Spearmint, and Lemon Balm Blend for this! Just getting started with your herbal infusion practice or need a refresher? Click here for a super helpful + informative video I made a few years ago. It's under 6 minutes and gives you all the basics you need to know to start this super potent and life changing (not an overstatement!) herbal medicine practice. (omg this video is probably from like 6-7 years ago and look at baby herbalist Nico! stating facts and putting together Wild Heart House Blend all those years ago!) Not sure what herbs to include in your herbal infusion? Questions about drinking tea or herbalism in general? Come by Wild Heart Herb House and ask me about which one of our herbal tea blends is right for you! We are open Wednesday 12-5 / Thursday 12-5 / Friday 12-5 / Saturday 10-3. Also by appointment if none of these times work for you, just reply to this email and we can open the shop for you at another time that works for us both! Stop by to chat with an experienced herbalist, sip yummy herbal tea (served room temp for the summer obvi), and get the herbal remedies your body, mind, emotions, and spirit are craving! Feeling the call of the herbs? So are we!! Thank you for your love + support! Can't wait to see you soon! Love, Nico |
