Hi there Reader, I come to you today with a grateful heart, humble greetings, and some sad and unexpected news to share. You may have noticed that I have been a bit more absent than usual in these emails and on instagram, and maybe not my usual self when you have visited Wild Heart Herb House this summer... It is with gratitude for the past, sadness in the present, and curiosity and excitement for the future that I announce - Wild Heart Herb House at Haskell Gardens will be closing at the end of the year. This is 100% not my decision. The Trustees, who own the building, want it back for their own educational programming. They originally wanted me to move out at the end of September but I fought for the end of the year so we could have one final Wild Heart Herb Fest on the property and going-out-with-a-bang holiday shopping. I am absolutely heartbroken and devastated and don’t know for sure what I’m going to do next or what the next iteration of Wild Heart will be. I have many ideas of course but nothing solid, very open to suggestions, ideas, possible collaborations, and new spaces to work from. It doesn’t have to be a retail space- maybe its an artist's studio or a cool rustic barn on someone's property. Many days I feel curious, creative, and excited about what is yet to come but there’s so much grief also, which I feel immensely. Both / And. Always and forever. Wild Heart will 100% definitely live on, just which form she will take is still very unclear. I would love for you to take this journey into the unknown with me. I'm telling you all this now because I’m terrible at hiding my feelings and keeping things to myself. I just want to get this upcoming transition out into the open so I can move forward with transparency and your support, collaboration, and ideas. Let's finish up the year with lots of love, respect, and gratitude for the generous home this little ivy covered cottage has offered me and us over the past 3 years. I tell myself that the only constant in life (and business) is change but it doesn't always make it easier. Over the next few months I will be looking for your input on what you want Wild Heart to transform into via a survey, polls on instagram, and through conversations. Please reply to this email if you want to share now. Of course my brain has been working overtime all summer trying to figure out what's next but I'm also leaving space for my intuition and the universe to guide me. I'm excited to see what is yet to come! I know Wild Heart might have a special place in your heart and life and I am truly sorry for this change. However, no matter what happens, I will still be making our best selling products and tea blends, hosting classes, and selling dried herbs. I've also got some really fun and exciting new ideas like a monthly tea club and some other dreamy projects that I'm not ready to announce yet but they involve the local herbs I've been harvesting and making medicine with all summer! Want to offer your care? Here are some things that you can do to support me and the shop during this transition:
We are open Thursday 12-5, Friday 12-5, Saturday 10-3 and sometimes Wednesdays 12-5 if the weather isn't great. If its sunny I'm going to be squeezing in every last beach day I can this month. Check instagram to know for sure if we're open on a Wednesday! I'm stepping into this new unknown future with hesitancy and confidence, fear and trust, grief and joy. I have no idea what is going to happen next but I am going to lean in the support of my friends, community, and of course the wisdom and generosity of the plants and our benevolent universe to guide me. We will discover together what is yet to come!! So much love and gratitude to you my friend, thanks for being here with me :) Love, Nico PS - Please feel free to respond to this email with any thoughts, feelings, ideas, memories, whatever you feel called to share. I anticipate many messages and will get back to you all over the next few weeks. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding. xoxo |

Happy final week of summer Reader! Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love, encouragement, and support I received last week after announcing the upcoming closing of Wild Heart Herb House at Haskell Gardens. (missed the announcement? read it here or listen / watch here) I can't explain how much it means to me. I have gone back many a time to re-read your messages and comments, they give me hope and strength during moments when I'm like what the fuuuuukkkkk am I going to dooooo??!?!...
Hi Reader! I AM SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WILD HEART HERB FEST IS BACK FOR AN INSPIRING, EDUCATIONAL, AND FUN FILLED THIRD YEAR!! Imagine the most wonderful day meandering through magical gardens, being inspired by local herbalists sharing their experience + knowledge, receiving much needed self care, a picnic in the park, getting to know your local herbal community, heart opening ceremony, herbal remedies, and so much more! It's a perfect day for seasoned herb lovers AND those just curious...
Last week I sent you an email saying that we were going to be closed on Wednesdays for a while, the main reason being that I would be harvesting herbs to make medicine with, but seeing as its raining today and I am unable to do said task, the shop will be open! I will be at Wild Heart Herb House today 12-5. Open the rest of the week regular hours as well: Thursday and Friday 12-5, Saturday 10-3. Also! So happy to share with you a Sound Healing in the Spiral Garden Series with Caroline DeCosta...
